This glass house I made was almost free. I got all the windows and doors free from construction sites and throw out piles from an Aluminium joinery place. The nails i got from a re-cycling center, a couple $ timber from side of road thrown out and construction site throw outs. I did need to $ buy tubes of silicon. All up I estimate $50-$60 spent for a glass house full of greens. It's been up for over a year now. I do need to run irrigation. I made it quite water tight so a small extra cost in that unless I find a free hose too.

Using nips for tiling mosaics are easy to use for ceramic tiling, when you are up-cycling something. Mosaics can be used in many situations; to restore the kitchen bench top, dining table top, coffee table, out side table, seats, garden planter, bird bath, your bath, splash-back, vanity top, the vanity itself. You are only limited by your imagination, so get one of the books in the right column, watch this video, go to my channel, watch some more tutorials and get creating.
I will try to upload at least one of these a week for you to get some ideas for your home and remember to up-cycle and not take to a land fill. To the right of the page are some how to books for your crafting creating side; welding, Blacksmithing, sculpting and lots more just scroll down the page and click.
Today I joined pages on face book, looking for ideas and to promote this very page you're looking at now. I found many great ideas we all can do for less then $10. If you're looking to make a bit of coin re-cycling or up-cycling, these pages are just for you! Click on the links below and ask to join them.
Here's an idea if you don't have a recycling center in your town. Take a look at this page and may be start one in your town instead of filling that dump site even more! Just give it away for up-cycling click link below and take a look on it's face book page too.
This amazing recycle center is located right next to a rubbish transfer station; "perfect" so instead of most re-usable items being transported to a hole in the earth, first stop and think can it be re-used, re-cycled, up-cycled or re-loved. Just give it away to some one you know or to a recycle center like this or a second hand shop, church shop, Red Cross, homeless shelter or anyone but the "hole in earth". Dump transfer station looks nicer, sounds nicer and maybe sleep comes easier not seeing the usable items going into the ground; Mother earth, our whenua. Food could be growing there instead for the homeless and you could be helping instead.
Enough of my ranting here are some photos of one such recycle center "doing it right"; less in earth more to re-use.
"Insulation off cuts"; I have insulated two homes with off cuts from here and I have made an entire bathroom extension with recycled timber. I will put that video up soon. Lawn mowers, carpet, chairs, tables and so so much did not go to the dump and people pay less, saving so much .
All at extremely low prices so when you drop off those hoarded items, you no longer need, you know the "STUFF" in your shed that has been there for "LIKE 5-10 YEARS" un-used. You can come through and get something you do need and in doing so, you will be supporting the staff, yes this place gives jobs! You save by not paying to have your stuff go into a land fill "insane paying to have stuff go in the earth" so look for the recycle center in your town.
Drawers, bags, hardware, plumbing, golf clubs, pillows, beds, mats, white board and tools.
Bikes, trikes and books. I have some mountain bikes from here and a few books too!
Framing, chipboard ply flooring, vanities, tents and recreational items, iron roofing, doors, laundry tubs, plumbing, drainage, taps and all sorts. Notice how the framing timber does not have nails still in them.
One way to re-use scrap metal and it's so cheap too, instead of having to pay around $5000 for a wood stove you could just make something like this. You might know some one to make it for you; surely they would be willing to make it for you at half the price and I'm sure they would be more than happy to. So keep an open mind and look around. Up-cycle, re-cycle and re-use to look after this world.
I grew up on a farm and saw cows love and look after their calves just like dolphins, whales, people, cats and dogs. Most of you look after your fur-baby cats and dogs and you probably know what I mean, if you have seen a dog protecting their pups and cat looking after it's kittens. I've even seen chickens fighting off everything to protect their chicks and what I'm saying is they love too, just like you and you sit back and do nothing while love is being killed. Dirty Dairy stops a calf feeding off it's mother by killing it. Maybe attend that animal rights protest coming up or donate help at your local animal rescue shelter, local SPCA or Green peace. What if this was someone you knew hanging from the roof?
What if this actually happens to people one day, and we all go mad and start killing people to eat. Just start a vegan way of life and put the meat killing industry out of business.
Japan does it again; killing marine life by catching dolphins for export to wild life parks. Narcissistic, greedy and hateful. Take a good look at what happens to loving beings of the ocean; if not exported they are killed. Yes you are probably using a phone from Japan, driving a car made in Japan but if you could choose to support America or Japan what would it be? At least Americans don't go around killing whales and dolphins, shark fishing is popular there and yes sharks are predators. Please try American made start today boycotting Japan.
Corporate greed again destroying! The ongoing killing of love life and peace in our oceans not only are whales being culled to extinction by Japan and Norway, dolphins in record numbers being poisoned by sinking oil ships "Tauranga coast", sharks hunted sportingly by the general population and commercially by China, AND for some time now seismic blasting ocean floors along the coasts around the world where corporations are looking for minerals, or oil at the cost of marine life.
japan and norway don't deserve capitals in their names! Help boycott in any way you can.
Watch the videos compiled below. It's not much but it shows what happens to loving life below the waters when greed trolls over with audio destruction japan would be envious, norway wishes they can and china probably made the tools on-board the death ships.
recently i found a charter boat sporting sharks well most of the world is moaning about chines fishing boats taking too much fish hunting sharks and culling the population of ice fish what about the shark fishing in the states here are just a few sites i found.
the six link up were found on 3 pages of the first search and that was on just one search engine and that was just in america what about Australia Europe Africa all point finger at china though
so the point is don't go moaning about china's over fishing taking sharks in the catch when many people in western country's are quite happy to pay upward of $1000 a day to kill a shark
sad very sad
